La Belle et La Bête is a cultural spectacle conceived by London-based curator Predrag Pajdic, whose large-scale contemporary art projects are often shown in alternative spaces (old warehouses, empty shops, churches, crypts, theatres…). Showing art in such settings brings an original and fresh point of view where art is experienced and interacted with on a deeper level that differ from a white cube environment. This is the reason La Belle et La Bête will take place in an empty mansion rather then a gallery situation. Every available space will be used. The artworks will inhabit rooms and corridors in a way not seen before.

On entering the house - instead of facing a receptionist’s desk of a typical fine art gallery - the viewer will be instantly transported to a very different reality, reminiscent of a private and welcoming art saloon devoted entirely to a celebration of arts (visual art, performance, design, poetry and music). From here one could continue on a dream like journey through different areas and passageways where surprising art displays would astonish, excite and stimulate. All the rooms would become the chambers of intriguing beauty where the audience can fully surrender to art and its astounding effects.

30 international artists whose work spans across art and fashion have been invited to create new works for La Belle et La Bête. Visual artists, photographers, designers, couturiers, filmmakers as well as poets, actors, performance artists, and musicians of the highest standard will adorn the space with haunting images and exquisite installations. In addition, moving images, sound and live performances would take place during the entire exhibition period, creating an exciting and electrifying atmosphere.
